WONDER TREE OF MOROCCO - ARGANIA SPINOSA

Good morning!

My Dear Friends how are you?

Is there any tree that invites the goats to climb on and graze?  

Five minutes to 07.00 am in the morning, I was walking in front of my Farm House, the sun with the old Geva color and just raising upwards behind the Elagiri hills.

Herders of the nearby villagers were taking their flocks of goats and sheep for grazing. They run across my farmhouse.  The sheep were looking for green patches in the nearby drylands and the goats for green trees along the roads.

While grazing, the goats will stand by their hind legs in the ground and raise and put their two forelegs on the tree, and will try to graze the tender leaves. This is actually the grazing habit of goats.

But in Morocco deserts, there is a tree by the name of Argania. Argania is a beautiful and unique tree. You cannot see a tree-like Argania anywhere else in the world.

These Argania trees are inviting the goats to climb on and graze their delicious leaves. The tree is not allowing one or two goats. One single tree can allow 15 to 20 goats at a time to climb and graze on it. Look at the photograph and count the goats.

The oil is being extracted from the Argania nuts. It is considered one of the costly and precious cosmetic stuff on the globe.   it's being produced by the several women cooperatives of Morocco.
