PRESIDENT, VANIAMBADI DEVELOPMENT FORUM

Vaniambadi Development Forum (V D F) Joining Hands with BHUMII Trust, Thekkupattu organized World Environment Day on 05.06.2016. Six schools with 2000 children and  Teachers in Vaniambadi took part in the celebrations of the World Environment Day 2016  and made it a grand success.

ri.Rahman the chairman of Vaniambadi Development Forum inaugurated the celebrations. Sri.Mohammed Nayeem introduced the chief guest of

 theprogramme Mr.D.Gnana Suria Bahavan, Environment Activist cum Director, BHUMII Trust, Centre For Conservation of Natural Resources, Thekkupattu, Vellore District. Sri.Ajmal Hussain of Vaniambadi Development Forum delivered the Vote of thanks.

Sri. D.Gnana Suria Bahavan, Director Cum Managing Trustee, BHUMII Trust, Centre For Conservation of Natural Resources, Thekkupattu, took part in this programme as chief Guest and gave an inspiring awareness cum motivational speech on the topic

“Harvest the Rainwater When it Falls and use it to solve all Water Problems”. Apart from this, the importance of trees and plants in reducing the pollution in the Households as well as outside the House was highlighted. It was actually conducted in the form of a lively discussion with the school children. The school children shared their knowledge and wisdom without any inhibition. In fact the children enjoyed the session and felt it was very near to their heart.                     

Mr.Gnana suria Bahavan also gave an briefing about the 2016 World Environment Day its history, theme,  slogan and about the local existing pollution problems.

The following school authorities took active part in organizing students, planting of tree seedlings in the school premises, and distribution of Tulasi plant for keeping it in the household premises of the parents, and made the celebrations a great success. The following six schools are considered as GREEN SCHOOLS.

1.Khaderia Higher Secondary School 2.Khaderia Primary School, 3.Assabeel Nursery & Primary School 4. Islamiah Boys Higher Secondary school 5. Alhilaal Primary School  6. Islamiah Aided Elementary School
